The Big50 is a hall-of-fame type award for remodeling professionals. Every May, REMODELING MAGAZINE inducts 50 new companies who have set the standard for professionalism and integrity through smart marketing, exemplary business practices, unique design, and extraordinary impact on their community or the industry at large.

Big50 remodelers run successful, growing companies of various sizes that have taken the lead in raising the standards of the industry. To date, more than 1,000 remodelers who have demonstrated such excellence can boast being a member of the Big50. In the end, the name "Big50" is something of a misnomer, since the awards have little to do with a company's size. The award recognizes excellence and leadership, and the companies who belong to this select group set an example for the rest of the industry.

Since September 10, 2002, Dutchess Building Specialists has been named to the Top 500 by Qualified Remodeler.

The annual listing is published to recognize remodeling firms for six criteria of success: Annual sales volume for the previous year, total number of years in business, association membership, certified employees on staff, industry awards and community service.

Dutchess Building Specialists was ranked in the Top 500 and received special recognition in the years in business (17+) and the association membership (NARI) categories.The annual Top 500 was published in the September issue of Qualified Remodeler, and on the magazines web site: www.qualifiedremodeler.com.

Founded in 1975, Qualified Remodeler was the first magazine dedicated to served the residential and light commercial remodeling industry.

Cygnus Business Media, a Commerce Connect company, publishes the magazine, which serves more than 81,000 remodeling firms nationwide.
